Need to refund a customer or correct an invoice? A credit note reduces what the customer owes. Reference the original invoice, list the credited items, tax and the reason; the total credit is calculated for you.

When do I need a credit note?
For returns, refunds, discounts after invoicing, or to correct a mistake on an issued invoice (you shouldn't edit a sent invoice).
Does it include tax?
Yes, add the same tax rate as on the original invoice so the tax is reversed correctly.
Can I download it as Excel too?
Yes. Besides the PDF you can download an Excel (.xlsx) file with live formulas, or a CSV of the line items.
Do you keep my data?
No. Your company details are saved only in your own browser. The PDF is created in memory and deleted immediately.
Is the Credit Note free?
Yes, completely free with no signup and no daily limit.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
