About Sanctions & Restricted Party Check
Type the name of a company or person and we search the US Consolidated Screening List (OFAC, BIS Entity List and others), the EU financial sanctions list, the UN Security Council list and the UK sanctions list. The lists are downloaded from the official sources and refreshed every day. Matching is fuzzy, so spelling differences, word order and missing words are found too; each hit has a score, the list, the programme and a link to the source. What you type is not stored or logged. This is a screening aid, not legal clearance: if you get a close match, check the details and ask a trade compliance expert before you deal.
Frequently asked questions
Which lists are checked?
The US Consolidated Screening List (trade.gov – includes OFAC SDN, BIS Entity List, Denied Persons and more), the EU consolidated financial sanctions list, the UN Security Council consolidated list and the UK sanctions list (FCDO).
What does the score mean?
How closely the name matches, from 0 to 100. 100 is an exact match after removing punctuation and common words like Ltd or Co. A high score is a reason to check more details – address, country, date of birth – not proof.
Is my search saved?
No. Names you check are not stored, not logged and not sent anywhere else. The lists themselves are kept on our server so the search is fast.
Is a 'no match' result legal clearance?
No. Lists change daily, names are spelled many ways and ownership by a listed party also counts in many rules. Use this as a first check and keep a record.
Is the Sanctions & Restricted Party Check free?
Yes, completely free with no signup and no daily limit.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
