About EPUB Reader
Read an EPUB e-book in your browser without installing a reader app. Pick a chapter from the table of contents, move with Previous and Next and make the text bigger or smaller. Pictures inside the book are shown too. EPUB books are opened on your device and never uploaded; Kindle MOBI and AZW3 files (without DRM) are converted once on our server and shown as pages. Convert the book to PDF or another e-book format with one click.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes – free with no sign-up, no ads in the viewer, no watermark and no limit on how many files you open.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is opened and shown on your device and never leaves it. Only formats a browser can't read (old .doc/.ppt/.xls, Pages, Keynote, DjVu, XPS, MOBI) are converted once on our server over HTTPS and deleted right away – the page tells you when that happens.
Can I read Kindle books?
MOBI and AZW3 files without DRM open fine – they are converted once on our server. Books bought from Kindle, Apple Books or Google Play are usually DRM-protected and can't be opened by any third-party reader.
Does it remember where I stopped?
Not yet – choose your chapter from the table of contents when you come back.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. On Android you can also install the free Kitbly app and pick it in “Open with”.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
