Frequently asked questions
How is the fuel cost calculated?
Fuel needed = distance × consumption. With L/100 km: litres = km × L/100 km ÷ 100. Cost = fuel needed × price.
How do I convert MPG to L/100 km?
L/100 km = 235.21 ÷ US MPG, or 282.48 ÷ UK MPG. km/L = 100 ÷ L/100 km.
Why is real consumption higher than the brochure?
Official figures come from lab tests. Speed, air conditioning, cold weather, short trips and load all add fuel.
Does it work for electric cars?
Roughly: enter kWh/100 km as the consumption and the price per kWh as the fuel price.
