How to use the HWP Editor
- Open your document – Choose or drop an .hwp or .hwpx file, or start with a blank document.
- Edit the text – Click anywhere – also inside tables – and type. Undo and redo with Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y.
- Save – Save .hwp or .hwpx downloads your edited document. You can also download it as a PDF.
About HWP Editor
Open a Korean HWP or HWPX document and fix its text right in your browser – no Hancom Office needed. Pages are drawn like in Hangul; click anywhere, including inside table cells, and type, delete, split or join paragraphs, with undo and redo. Korean input (IME), copy and paste work as usual. Save gives you a real .hwp or .hwpx file – the original layout, fonts, tables and pictures are kept – or download it as a PDF. The file is opened and saved on your device and is not uploaded (only the optional PDF download is converted on our server).

Is it free?
Yes. Free with no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden limits on pages or files beyond what your device can handle.
Is my document uploaded?
No – HWP and HWPX files are opened, edited and saved in your browser. Only the optional PDF download is converted once on our server and deleted right away.
What can I edit?
Text: typing, deleting, line breaks and paragraphs, in the body and inside table cells. Changing fonts, sizes or colours, editing pictures, adding table rows and editing headers or footnotes is not supported yet – use Hancom Office for that.
Will the layout look exactly like Hangul?
Very close. Hancom fonts are replaced with similar fonts on your device, so line breaks can differ slightly. The saved file keeps the original fonts, so it looks right again in Hancom Office – check important documents there before submitting.
Can I open password-protected or very old files?
Password-protected HWP files can't be opened – remove the password in Hancom Office first. HWP 3.0 files from the 1990s are not supported.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap where you want to type. Use Full screen for more room; long edits are easier on a tablet or computer.
